What does a Creation Care Team do?
Drawing on the rich heritage of Catholic Social Teaching and the compelling message of Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si', a Creation Care Team prays, learns, and acts out of a deep respect for the interconnectedness of all of God's creation. Team members assess the sustainability efforts of the parish and suggest ways to reduce energy use and waste. They also raise awareness of the moral and ethical aspects of environmental stewardship for the benefit of their fellow parishioners.
